Yarmouth History and Genealogy Collection
Visitors searching for their roots or just interested in the history of Yarmouth will find the Library’s Local History Department to be of valuable assistance. It is located in the Reference Room at the South Yarmouth Library. Open during the Library’s normal hours. Please call 508 760-8436 X1315 if you would like to make an appointment with the Reference Librarian.
The Yarmouth Town Clerk has digitized versions of historical birth, marriage, and death records for the Town of Yarmouth.

Online Resources for Genealogy
Fold3 Library Edition provides convenient access to US military records, including the stories, photos, and personal documents of the men and women who served. This continually-growing collection contains millions of records from world-class archives, many of which are exclusively available on Fold3.
Ancestry Library Edition may be accessed within the buildings of the West Yarmouth and South Yarmouth Libraries at all times we are open. It is also available at the Yarmouth Port Library and the Dennis Public Library in Dennisport. The Dennis Public Library also houses the office of the Cape Cod Genealogical Society.
