Available Technology

Free Wi-Fi is offered twenty-four hours a day at both the South Yarmouth Library and the West Yarmouth Library. No password is required, and the signal is accessible from nearby when the library buildings are closed. 

Wi-Fi Hot Spots are available for a seven-day checkout from both locations.

South Yarmouth Library has six public workstations and one short-term express station. Printing is available (15 cents per page for black-and-white; $1.00 per page for color), and we can scan documents for you. West Yarmouth Library has two print-capable public workstations. Wireless printing is available at both locations. (All workstations run the Linux-based Userful operating system and have open-source office applications.)

Chromebooks are available for use in and around both libraries.

Faxing ($1.00 for each fax for fewer than 10 pages; over 10 pages = $1.00 for each ten pages) and self-service black and white copying (15 cents per page) is available at both libraries. Color photocopies are available if needed ($1.00 per page).

South Yarmouth Library has an Optelec ClearView+ Speech magnifier that combines video magnification and accurate text-to-speech for the visually impaired.

CLAMS Mobile App

Join the CLAMS mobile community now to place materials on hold, renew borrowed items, find CLAMS libraries and hours, and download e-books, e-audio and video through Overdrive in one step. Use your mobile device to scan the ISBN bar code of any book in a store and the CLAMS Libraries mobile app will automatically scan the CLAMS catalog for the title and place a hold on it if it is in the collection. The CLAMS app provides instant information anytime.
